Whether you're here for hiking, paddling, cycling, fishing, scenic drives, or simply a quiet mountain getaway, Ashe Base Camp puts you close to the action while giving you a comfortable place to come back to. The cabin is fully furnished, and includes everything you need to cook meals, do laundry, and other common tasks to help you relax and enjoy your stay. The Blue Ridge Parkway mile 255 is only 5 minutes away, and nearby recreation is easy to access. Whether you are rafting at the Sheets Bridge, stopping by Mount Jefferson for the long range views, or fishing at the New River State park, there are abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation. Jefferson and West Jefferson offer outstanding dining, shopping, and relaxation opportunities and are a easy 15-20 minute drive away. Multiple wineries are within 5-10 miles and the cabin is very convenient to multiple "you pick" Christmas tree farms during the fall and holiday season. We look forward to hosting you soon!
